WELCOME TO 2012. The new Tournament season is upon us starting with the EMERALD BASS CLUB Frostbite Open at Tenmile Lakes. Cabelas is sponsoring this years event along with Drain Raider plumming. This event draws top anglers from the Pacific Northest and beyond. There are allways some "Heavy Bags" at the weigh-in and the Big Fish winner has a great prize.
EBC will again be hosting two great events this year. View & print the entry forms above and get a jump on 2012. The Frostbite Open draws teams from all around the Northwest and the Fern Ridge Open has proven to be a "BIG BASS BASH" with lots of huge fish coming to the scales.
Bob Caldwell and daughter Lisa won the last event of the year on November 5th and 6th with a two day total of 18.10 lbs with 7 fish. Ron Hansen and Art Ferreira finished in second with 6 fish totaling 16.88 lbs. Steven Stavros had big fish with a 5.17 lber.
Chris Vest and Gregor Crowl teamed up for the win at Willamette park on October 15th with a five fish limit of 13.34 lbs. Finishing in second was Ed Hodges and his guest Pat Okeefe with a limit for 12.10 lbs. Ron Hanson had big fish with a 3.44lb smallie. Our last event of the season is a pick tournament on November 5th and 6th at Tenmile Lakes.
Dwayne Day and Dave Mitchell teamed up for the win at Tahkenitch on October 1st with a winning weight of 15.62lbs and Dwayne had big fish with a nice 4.92 chunk. Ron Hanson and Josh Stone finished in second place with 5 fish limit for 14.50 lbs. Next up is the Willamette river out of Portland on October 15th.
Chris parks and Dave Mitchell rolled over the field at Cottage Grove with an impressive 22.40 lb limit. Chris also had big fish with a fat 5.82 lb Bass. The Team of Ron Hanson and Ed Hodges had 3 fish for 14.81 lbs to finish in second.
Three Emerald Bass Club member teams finished high in the ABA Oregon South Division this year. The Team of Chris Vest & Cory Buller finished a strong 2nd place. Art Ferreira & EBC club president Ron Hansen of The Drain Raider Pro Bass Team Finished well with 5th place. Finishing in 15th place, the team of Chris Parks & Steven Stavros only fished 2 events but posted 2 second place finishes. The final ABA event of 2011 for these teams is the “2011 American Bass/Ranger Boats North Team Classic” at Clear Lake California. Good Luck!!
EBC club president Ron Hansen picked up big fish honors at Tahkenitch Lake at the ABA event August 20th. The nice 6 pounder helped Ron & Art Ferreira of the Drain Raider team to a top 10 finish.
The Annual Emerald Bass Club KIDS FISHING DERBY will be held on Saturday, August 27th at Cottage Grove Lake. This popular event is allways a big hit. Our members bring kids with them to fish in a "weigh what you catch" tournament. Some of our members remember fishing in this event as a kid themselves. One member said it was the first time he ever went fishing. The fishing runs from 7:00am till 11:00am with a hot dog feed to follow on shore.

6 boats showed up on a cool foggy morning July 9th at Tahkenitch for the 6th stop of the year for EBC. Steven Stavros and Matt Wilson teamed up for the win with 15.79 lbs and Steven had big fish with a healthy 6.80.
EBC showed up in the BestBuy parking lot on June 19th at 330 in the morning to find out where they would be fishing for this years Presidents choice tournament. Ron Hansen's pick of Green Peter turned out to be a good choice with everyone catching a limit. Andy Mitchel and Josh Stone ran away from the field at with an impressive limit of 14.04lbs and Andy also had big fish with a nice 4.10lb largemouth.
The team of Chris parks and Roger Emmert finished on top of our two day pick tournament at Cottage grove on 6/4 and Fall Creek 6/5 with 18.18 lbs. Big fish honors went to Andy Mitchell with a nice 4.79lb fish from Cottage Grove. Only two fish were weighed in on Sunday at Fall Creek, one by Bob and Reed and the other by Jerry and Cary.
About 125 adult bass were transfered from Davis Lake to Fern Ridge. Hope is that they will spawn and help the total population. Emerald Bass Club provided boats and volunteers to help ODFW stock the bass at various locations around the lake. Bobby Brown of ABA was also on hand to help out.
The third stop of 2011 for EBC was at Tenmile lakes. Coming out on top of the slugfest was Chris Parks and George Downs with a winning weight of 18.86 lbs. Art Ferreira had big fish honors with a nice 4.96 lb fish.
